The real review
"Deer & Boy" is a beautiful and heartfelt cinematic platformer, and people loved the story and visuals — that bond between the boy and his deer companion really lands. The core issue is technical: the gameplay feels a bit clunky for some, and the performance, especially on Switch and PC, is a major problem with frequent crashes and frame drops. It's a touching experience, but it's hard to recommend at full price unless you're willing to put up with the jank to see the story through.
