Romestead is a solid survival builder where you can rebuild after Rome's fall with friends, and that multiplayer co-op is where it shines — the core gameplay loop of building towns and farming is genuinely fun. However, the developer Beartwigs is taking a lot of heat, mostly tied to performance issues and a rough PC launch that soured many on platforms like Steam and Twitch. A vocal few also find the difficulty punishing, but most players are hooked on the base-building itself.
