The game
STARSEEKER is a new game set within the Astroneer universe with a focus on discovery, cooperative expeditions, and camaraderie. Exploring deep space on the ESS Starseeker, players will need to work together with the entire crew of the space station to complete planet- wide objectives across a multitude of star systems using cutting edge technology.
The real review
The vibe on Starseeker is mixed, with most folks landing somewhere between "it's fine" and "could be better." The core co-op expedition loop is genuinely solid and the multiplayer aspect gets universal praise — that's the game's high point. But performance issues pop up enough to be a real drag, especially on PC and consoles. People aren't exactly celebrating its arrival, especially on Xbox Game Pass, but at least it's playable with friends.
