It's a new school year for the Truham-Higgs gang. As Nick and Charlie's relationship deepens, their thoughts turn to life after the last bell rings.

This one’s a warm, if slightly uneven, return to the Truham-Higgs gang. People are here for Nick and Charlie's deepening relationship and the gentle, familiar beats of their final school year, with the story itself landing pretty well. That said, the core cast's reception is surprisingly muted, with many finding the performances from Joe Locke and Kit Connor just okay this time around. A few shout-outs go to the reliably perfect humor and to the original creator, Alice Oseman, but overall it feels like a sweet, transitional chapter that doesn't quite hit the high notes of past seasons.
The trend appears once there are a couple of scoring runs to compare.
