'Abbott Elementary' Season 6 debut draws over 6 million viewers

The sixth season of ABC's workplace comedy 'Abbott Elementary' has returned with robust numbers. According to exclusive data from Variety, the October 7 premiere was watched by an estimated 6.3 million people across all platforms within its first week.
That seven-day performance marks the show's largest audience in a full year, last matched by a Season 5 episode in October 2025. Among adults aged 18 to 49, the episode posted its highest rating in over 18 months.
The premiere saw significant growth from the previous year, with viewership climbing 7% and the key demographic rating jumping 16% compared to the Season 5 opener.
Streaming played a major role, delivering the series' best seven-day digital performance since early 2025. The initial live broadcast attracted 2.2 million viewers, meaning delayed viewing on other platforms boosted the total audience by 183%.
