ABC Gives 'High Potential' the Coveted Post-Super Bowl Slot in 2027

The Kaitlin Olson drama 'High Potential' is getting the biggest promotional bump in television. Variety reports that ABC will air a special episode of the show immediately following Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, on both ABC and Disney+.

ABC has not been the home of the Super Bowl in two decades, with its last broadcast happening in 2006. The network announced the scheduling move during its 'Monday Night Football' broadcast on October 12.

A promo for the special episode also debuted. According to TVLine, the spot features Olson's character, Morgan, finding a hidden message about the slot. Her characteristically self-interested response questions what perks she might personally receive from the high-profile placement.

The post-Super Bowl slot is historically used to launch new series or showcase major episodes of existing hits. Per Variety, 'High Potential' will return for its third season on Tuesday nights in early 2027, with episodes streaming on Hulu the next day.
