Adam Scott confirms 'Severance' season 3 has been filming for weeks
Adam Scott confirmed production on the new season of the hit Apple TV+ series is fully underway.
In an interview on NBC's "Today" show, Scott told host Craig Melvin that shooting for "Severance" season three has officially begun, per TheWrap. When asked how far into filming they were, the actor revealed they were a few weeks in, but added they had "just started."
Melvin pressed Scott on whether fans would again face a three-year wait between seasons, as they did between seasons one and two. Scott said the team is doing everything they can to avoid that, but noted "you never know" and that they want to make the best show possible.
Executive producer Ben Stiller hinted at the production start earlier this summer with a cryptic tweet quoting the show's fictional founder, Kier Eagan. Series creator Dan Erickson also shared a related image last month.
Apple TV+ acquired the series from its original production company, Fifth Season, earlier this year, though the latter will remain on as an executive producer. No official release date for season three has been announced.
