Alan Cumming is baffled by his own Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday
Actor Alan Cumming says he has no clue what happens in Marvel's upcoming tentpole 'Avengers: Doomsday,' even after filming his part. According to Variety, the star confessed he doesn't fully understand the plot and often worked with a stunt double for a co-star.
Cumming told SiriusXM he didn't read the full script and found filming confusing. He described an incident where a crew member tried explaining a scene involving giant robots, but he cut them off, per Variety. His only directive was to 'run around.'
He also revealed a funny meeting with co-star Florence Pugh. Cumming, per TheWrap, told Pugh at the Emmys that her body double had 'laid on top of him' during filming. Pugh reportedly replied that she did the same, but with his body double.
The actor is reprising his X-Men role as Nightcrawler, a part he hasn't played since 2003's 'X2.' He mentioned that modern makeup technology has drastically reduced his application time from over four hours to just 90 minutes.
'Avengers: Doomsday' is scheduled for release in theaters on December 18.
