Alan Ritchson in talks to lead Netflix action film 'Maelstrom'
Netflix is dusting off a script that's been sitting around since the early '90s for a new action flick, according to reports from Variety and JoBlo.
The project, titled 'Maelstrom', is being developed as a starring vehicle for Alan Ritchson. The 'Reacher' star is reportedly in negotiations to play a Federal Marshal battling mercenaries and a colossal storm.
Variety reports the spec script was originally sold to Warner Bros. back in 1993. Netflix is now assembling the hot package, with Jaume Collet-Serra attached to direct.
