Alan Ritchson’s Runner gets a safe MPA rating despite violent action
Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson are gunning it in the new action flick Runner. The final trailer, per JoBlo, shows the duo racing against time and battling a ruthless cartel to save a child, hitting theaters on September 11.
Collider described the vibe as “Reacher” meets “Fast & Furious,” which tracks given the high-speed, cartel-punching premise. It’s a full-throttle buddy-action-comedy from Angel Studios.
The MPA has officially rated the film, according to a separate JoBlo report. Despite containing “strong violence” and “bloody images,” the movie still managed to land a safe, audience-friendly rating.
