Alia Bhatt's coming-of-age film 'Don't Be Shy' hits Prime Video in September
Prime Video has locked in a late September release for a new YA rom-com, according to an exclusive report from Variety.
The film, titled "Don't Be Shy," is produced by actress Alia Bhatt and her sister Shaheen Bhatt through their company Eternal Sunshine Productions. Sreeti Mukerji serves as both writer and director.
The story focuses on a group of friends navigating love and life. Four fresh faces lead the cast, playing the central roles. They are joined by supporting performances from several established actors, including Kunaal Roy Kapur and Neha Dhupia.
Nikhil Madhok of Prime Video India called the project "one of our most cherished films" in a statement obtained by the outlet, praising the new cast's "freshness and authenticity." Alia and Shaheen Bhatt said in their own joint statement that the movie captures the "honest" experience of youth.
The film will debut exclusively on the streaming service on September 25, available in Hindi with English subtitles worldwide.
