Alice and Steve renewed for season 2 on Disney+ and Hulu
The comedy series "Alice and Steve" is officially coming back for a second season. Variety reports that Disney+ and Hulu have ordered more episodes of the show.
The series follows Alice, played by Nicola Walker, whose life is upended when her best friend Steve, played by Jemaine Clement, begins a romance with her 26-year-old daughter. This kicks off a messy feud between the formerly close pals.
Creator Sophie Goodhart shared her excitement in a statement obtained by Variety, teasing that viewers are in for surprises. "No one will be prepared for what happens next, especially not Alice and Steve," Goodhart said.
Executives from the producing studios also expressed their enthusiasm for the renewal, noting the show's unique voice and the audience's strong response to its first season. They hinted that the new episodes will continue to deliver comedic chaos for the central characters.
