Alien: Earth Season 2 filming has officially begun
FX has officially kicked off production on the second season of Noah Hawley's sci-fi horror series 'Alien: Earth'. The network confirmed the start of filming via a brief behind-the-scenes video posted to its Instagram account on September 3, per Polygon.
The video offers a quick ten-second glimpse at the set. Production on the show's first season lasted about five months, suggesting season two could wrap by early 2027 if it follows a similar timeline.
Showrunner Noah Hawley is back, alongside returning star Sydney Chandler. The new season will also feature several fresh faces joining the cast.
In other franchise news, Polygon's report also notes that a sequel to the 2014 game 'Alien: Isolation' is in development. Additionally, director Ridley Scott has announced he is working on a new prequel film.
