Alvin and the Chipmunks get a new movie deal for 2028 release
The chipmunk crew is squeaking back into theaters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brian Robbins's production company, Big Shot Pictures, has taken a stake in the franchise, which last appeared in 2015's 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip'.
A new feature film is now in the works, with a release currently planned for 2028. The report did not specify whether this will be a reboot or a continuation of the previous live-action/animated series.
