Analyst Firm Calls GTA 6 Pre-Order Claims "Absurd," Yet Sees Record Campaign
An analyst firm is pouring cold water on some wild claims about Grand Theft Auto VI's pre-order numbers. According to Eurogamer, the firm labeled certain reports as "absurd."
However, the same data suggests the Rockstar title is still breaking records. Per the firm's analysis, GTA 6 has allegedly already pulled in over $260 million in revenue from pre-orders.
That massive haul, the firm claims, makes this the "strongest pre-order campaign ever recorded" for a video game. The hype machine for the upcoming sandbox title appears to be in overdrive.
