Andrew Garfield Admits Secret Instagram Habit and Dream of Leaving Hollywood
Andrew Garfield has a secret Instagram account, and he’s just as hooked as everyone else. Per Variety, the actor called his screen time notifications “horrific,” saying he’s given hours “to nothing” in a way he finds “genuinely enraging.” He blamed the addictive design of the platforms.
His personal scrolls lead him into niches like “weird ceramics” and Japanese craftspeople. The topic is timely, as his current film, “The Magic Faraway Tree,” deals with a tech-dependent family moving to the countryside.
Garfield also opened up about his packed schedule, having worked nearly 12 months straight on back-to-back projects. He admitted to frequent thoughts of leaving Hollywood behind. “If I had my druthers, people would just see [the projects], and I could go whittle wood in the Somerset countryside,” he said.
Among those upcoming projects is playing Roy in the Siegfried & Roy TV series “Wild Things.” Garfield recalled his excitement when Jude Law was cast as Siegfried, saying, “Fuck, yes! I need to be front row for that.” He described the shoot as challenging but rewarding, promising a mix of pizzazz, camp, and big heart.
