ARC Raiders and The Finals Score TV and Film Adaptations

Two hit video games are jumping from consoles to screens. According to a report from Variety, Chernin Entertainment has landed the rights to develop both TV series and film adaptations for the games "ARC Raiders" and "The Finals."
The deal was struck with Nexon-owned developer Embark Studios. Variety notes that Chernin Entertainment was selected after competition from multiple other production companies and studios.
"ARC Raiders" is set in a post-apocalyptic future where players battle mechanized enemies known as ARC. Since its 2025 launch, the game has sold over 16 million copies globally.
"The Finals" pits players in a destructible, virtual arena as part of a violent game show. The free-to-play shooter has attracted more than 30 million players in its three-year run.
Nexon executive chairman Patrick Söderlund stated the partnership aims to grow the properties into "deeply integrated transmedia experiences." Chernin Entertainment's film president, David Ready, called the games "ambitious global IP" ripe for franchise expansion.
