Ariana Madix to lead Peacock's sci-fi reality satire Future Housewives

Peacock is developing a sci-fi drama called Future Housewives with Ariana Madix set to star, The Hollywood Reporter and TVLine confirm. The project comes from Brannon Braga, known for his work on Star Trek series and The Orville, and Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions.

Madix, famous from Vanderpump Rules and hosting Love Island USA, will also executive produce. According to the reported logline, the show is set in a luxurious settlement on an asteroid called New Beverly Hills. There, elite residents deal with advanced cosmetic modifications, fierce competition, and scandals that span planets.

The story follows a naive newcomer, played by Madix, who disrupts this high-society world, revealing its disconnect from a culture moving past shallow concerns. The series is described as a satirical and emotional take on reality television.

Braga will write and executive produce alongside Madix, MacFarlane, and Erica Huggins. The show is in development at Peacock with Universal Global Television as the studio.
