Bad Monkey Season 2 lands December premiere date and new cast details
Apple TV's Vince Vaughn-led mystery series "Bad Monkey" is coming back this winter. TVLine reports that Season 2 will premiere on Wednesday, December 2, with new episodes arriving weekly through a February 3 finale.
The streamer confirmed the new run will consist of ten episodes and tell a fresh, original story, moving beyond the Carl Hiaasen novel that inspired the first season. According to an official synopsis, Vaughn's character, former detective Andrew Yancy, witnesses a fixer's murder. He's then paired with a forensic accountant by an ambitious attorney to solve the crime, pulling him into a conflict between rival criminal factions.
The new season will see the return of Natalie Martinez as Dr. Rosa Campensino, with released photos hinting at a continued connection between her character and Yancy. John Ortiz and Charlotte Lawrence are also set to reprise their roles.
A slew of new actors are joining the Florida-set chaos. Per TVLine, John Malkovich will play a sophisticated crime lord operating in the region. Yvonne Strahovski joins as attorney and political hopeful Delaney West. The season will also feature series regular Zavior Phillips and a long list of guest stars including Sofia Boutella, Dax Shepard, and June Diane Raphael.
