Batman Gets an R Rating and a 2026 Release Date in New Trailer

The Bat-Signal just got a lot darker. Warner Bros. has officially confirmed a 2026 release date for the R-rated 'Batman: Knightfall' in a new trailer, per MovieWeb.

The trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, signaling a more mature take on the Caped Crusader. The film is then slated for a digital release on August 25, 2026.

This confirms fans will have to wait a couple more years to see this gritty, adult-oriented version of Gotham's protector.
