Battlefield 6 fans slam 'AI-made' skins with extra pistols and spelling errors

Battlefield 6 is taking flak from its community over a new batch of battle pass character skins that fans are calling hilariously flawed. According to a report by IGN, one skin features a soldier with a Batman-style mask and a whopping five pistols strapped to his tactical vest, a design choice that sparked immediate jokes about excessive firepower.
Beyond the questionable arsenal, players have spotted what they believe are telltale signs of AI generation. One skin includes a patch that reads 'secuty,' which appears to be a misspelling of 'security.' Another depicts a bomb disposal specialist in heavy armor but with a completely exposed head, while carrying what fans identified as magazines for a .22 varmint rifle, a weapon not found in the game.
IGN notes that some on social media are convinced developer DICE is using AI to create skin concepts, pointing to these odd errors and inconsistencies as evidence. This skepticism comes despite past developer statements that the game would avoid goofy, immersion-breaking cosmetics, a promise fans feel is now broken.
In other Battlefield 6 news reported by GameSpot, the game's major Season 5 update has arrived alongside its addition to Xbox Game Pass. The shooter also launched a new Game of the Year Edition and introduced a controversial $30 'Ultimate Shortcut Kit' microtransaction that allows players to instantly unlock all weapons at maximum mastery.
