Battlefield 6 team to fix 'Secuty' typo but keep five-pistol skin

Battlefield 6 developers are cleaning up a messy cosmetic rollout from Season 5. According to IGN, the team has acknowledged player complaints about a skin featuring the misspelled word "Secuty" on an armband instead of "Security."
Per the studio's statement on Discord, a fix for the typo is already in the works for an upcoming November update. The developers admitted the error fell short of their quality standards and said they are reviewing internal processes to prevent similar slips.
The statement did not, however, address fan speculation that generative AI was responsible for the mistake, as reported by Eurogamer.
Another contentious cosmetic, the Midnight Mirage skin featuring a character with five pistol holsters, is staying as-is. The developers told players this was a deliberate design choice, inspired by the exaggerated style of action films where heroes are overloaded with gear.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 launched last week, introducing new maps and a Dead Space crossover event. Further content updates are scheduled for November and December.
