Bayonetta's future teased by Platinum boss, Stellar Blade director calls her indispensable

The boss of PlatinumGames has hinted that he wants to see more of Bayonetta, per Eurogamer. While speaking with Famitsu, president Atsushi Inaba expressed a desire to expand the character and her world, though he stopped short of announcing a new game.
The conversation happened during Tokyo Game Show, tied to a crossover event. Four outfits inspired by Bayonetta are coming to Stellar Blade's updated edition on Nintendo's next console this fall.
Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung-tae seized the moment to praise the series, calling it an indispensable part of his life. He listed it among his three favorite games and joked about wanting to design characters for a potential sequel.
When Famitsu pressed for details on a new entry, Inaba offered no specifics, only telling fans to wait and see. This glimmer of hope comes after significant changes behind the scenes, including the departures of series creator Hideki Kamiya and Bayonetta 3 director Yusuke Miyata.
Any potential return would also lack Bayonetta's original Japanese voice, as actress Atsuko Tanaka passed away in 2024.
