Ben Affleck reveals Fortnite gaming arguments and movie costume inspiration

Ben Affleck has confessed to getting into heated voice chat spats with kids while playing games like Fortnite. The actor made the revelation on the New Heights podcast, per IGN, detailing his experiences in competitive online shooters.

Affleck said he enjoys first-person shooters and thinks he’s skilled, but finds himself outmatched by much younger players. He described a typical scenario where he’s quickly eliminated, leading to trash talk from opponents. Affleck admitted he sometimes fires back, insisting he doesn't suck because he's an adult.

Separately, the discussion turned to his new Netflix thriller, Animals. Affleck revealed that a character's fuzzy bunny mask was directly inspired by the random skins in Fortnite. He told the podcast his son’s interest in the game’s cosmetic items, which his son called "tough," sparked the idea.

The actor is a known gaming enthusiast, previously discussing his playtime in Valorant and attending esports events. This latest interview simply adds Fortnite to the list of games where he's willing to verbally duel with pre-teens.
