Black Flag Remake's $85 Day One DLC Hauled in $1 Million on Steam

A hefty day-one add-on pack for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has already proven incredibly lucrative. According to IGN, the controversial $85 collection of DLC earned Ubisoft an extra $1 million on Steam.

The report highlights how a premium, immediate post-launch offering can drive significant revenue, even when it sparks debate among players. The collection's success suggests a dedicated fanbase is willing to pay for early access to extra content.

This windfall from a single platform underscores the financial model behind major game remasters, where additional monetization often launches alongside the core game.
