Blumhouse and Vertigo team up for remake of French horror film "Vincent Must Die"
Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Vertigo Films are joining forces for an English-language remake of the French-Belgian horror movie "Vincent Must Die," per Variety.
The original film premiered at the 2023 Cannes Directors' Fortnight, directed by Stéphan Castang. It is described as a genre-bending, satirical thriller.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick will write and direct the new version. Johnson-McGoldrick's previous credits include writing "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" and co-writing "The Conjuring 2."
Alexander Rodnyansky of AR Content will produce alongside Roy Lee of Vertigo Films and Jason Blum and James Wan of Blumhouse Atomic Monster. The project is currently in development.
