Bong Joon Ho's First Animated Film 'Ally' Sells Globally After Cannes Launch
Bong Joon Ho is making his animated debut, and the world is buying. According to Variety, his new film 'Ally' was a hit with international distributors at the Marché du Film in Cannes, securing multiple deals for Pathé.
The feature, which boasts a voice cast including Bradley Cooper and Ayo Edebiri, had already locked down a key U.S. deal with Neon prior to the festival. This reunites the director with the distributor behind his Oscar-sweeping 'Parasite'.
The global sales push signals major confidence in the project from the 'Parasite' auteur, marking his first foray into feature-length animation.
