Brad Pitt's Cliff Booth movie gets title, release dates from Netflix
Brad Pitt's return as the stuntman Cliff Booth now has an official title and a release plan from Netflix.
The Hollywood Reporter states that the project, a follow-up to 2019's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," will be called "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth." David Fincher is directing from a script written by Quentin Tarantino.
According to the outlet, the movie will first play exclusively in Imax theaters worldwide for two weeks starting November 25. It will then begin streaming on Netflix on December 23.
The story picks up in 1977, nearly a decade after the original film's timeline. It follows Booth as he navigates a changed Hollywood landscape. The cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, and Carla Gugino, among others.
Netflix previously teased the film during the Super Bowl with a brief clip. In it, Pitt's character remarks that while he may not have many skills, he understands not to interfere with a compelling narrative.
Tarantino explained his decision not to direct, saying on a podcast that he didn't want his planned final film to be a sequel, as it felt like retreading old ground.
