Bruce Campbell is slamming the door on Ash Williams for good. The actor, who defined the role across decades of 'Evil Dead' movies and TV, has confirmed he is finished with the character.
According to MovieWeb, Campbell says any future portrayals will need a new actor. JoBlo reports that this retirement is now even more final, as he has also ruled out returning for any animated or voiceover work.
It seems the chainsaw is officially retired, leaving the fate of the franchise's hero in someone else's hands.
