Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Will Include Campaign Mission

The upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta is breaking the franchise's multiplayer-only mold. According to reports from GameSpot, Polygon, and Push Square, the test will feature a slice of the single-player campaign, a franchise first.

Players will reportedly get to try the campaign mission 'Entrenched' alongside multiplayer content and the new Warzone Resurgence map, Zodiac. Activision plans to show off some of this content at the Call of Duty: Next event on August 21.

Push Square specifically notes this historic beta inclusion is confirmed for the PS5 version. It marks a significant shift in how Activision is previewing its annual juggernaut.
