Cancelled Doom 4 concept art and animations surface online
A blast from the cancelled past just hit the web. Newly surfaced concept art and animations from the scrapped Doom 4 project have reportedly appeared online, per VGC.
This version of the game was famously abandoned and completely reworked by id Software. The final result of that massive overhaul was the critically acclaimed 2016 reboot, Doom.
Fans are getting a rare peek at what could have been, though it's clear the studio ultimately chose the path of glory.
