Cancelled Star Wars 'Magellan' RPG footage leaks, showed Jedi or Mandalorian play
Footage has leaked for a cancelled Star Wars action RPG codenamed "Magellan," which would have let players wield a lightsaber as a Jedi or fight as a Mandalorian, according to reports from IGN and Kotaku.
The project, reportedly in development at Echtra Games before the studio's 2025 closure, never got an official announcement. GameSpot describes the look of the scrapped game as a "Star Wars take on Borderlands," suggesting a loot-based structure with different classes and online multiplayer.
Eurogamer and Push Square confirm the footage's emergence years after the project's cancellation. It's a rare glimpse at a major "what-if" that fans will now never get to play.
