CD Projekt Red's The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 Get First Crossover

CD Projekt Red is finally letting its two biggest franchises meet. According to a report by Collider, the studio has confirmed the first official crossover between Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The crossover is a cosmetic addition. The official Cyberpunk 2077 social media account stated that players who install the latest next-gen update for The Witcher 3 will receive a free gift.

That gift is a new hairstyle for protagonist Geralt of Rivia. They will also get a Wolf-themed bandana inspired by the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Collider also notes that CD Projekt Red is busy on future projects. The studio's main focus is the next Witcher game, which is targeting a 2028 release. Meanwhile, a team is working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, though details are scarce.

The outlet reports that any major reveal for the Cyberpunk follow-up likely won't happen until the next Witcher title is out, or possibly later.
