Charlie Cox says he recorded 40 hours for a secret Sega game

Charlie Cox has confirmed he’s already finished work on a new video game, and it’s for Sega. Speaking to IGN at New York Comic-Con 2026, the actor revealed the project is still unannounced and doesn't yet have a title.

He shared a funny story about the recording sessions, telling IGN the developers seemed surprised he wasn't American. "I showed up for the first day... and all of them went, '...oh, he’s English,'" Cox said. He explained they had wanted an American voice, so he had to perform 40 hours of dialogue in an accent.

That detail suggests his character will be American. The sheer volume of recorded lines also hints at a significant role in the game's story.

Cox has prior voice acting experience in the game Expedition 33, but this new Sega title remains a mystery. Sega has several announced games on its upcoming slate, but per the report, this secret project is not one of them.

The actor's more immediate future includes Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, which is slated to arrive in early 2027.
