Chase Infiniti to lead Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele horror project

Chase Infiniti has signed on for her first major film role since her breakout in 'One Battle After Another.' According to The Hollywood Reporter, she'll star in the horror feature 'Portrait of God,' directed by rising filmmaker Dylan Clark.
Lionsgate has acquired the project and given it a green light. The film reportedly reimagines religious horror tropes, though specific plot details are being kept secret. Clark co-wrote the script with Joe Russo.
The project is notable for assembling a powerhouse producing team. Per Variety and THR, Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures and Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions are on board, marking the first collaboration between the two horror icons.
The film had a previous home at Universal before moving to Lionsgate. Director Dylan Clark is currently preparing his feature debut with a 'Blair Witch Project' reboot for the same studio.
In a statement obtained by THR, a Lionsgate executive said the studio believes the creative team can deliver a genuinely frightening and provocative movie.
