Cliff Bleszinski claims ego and alcohol sank his game studio Boss Key
Cliff Bleszinski, the famed designer behind the Gears of War series, has pointed the finger squarely at himself for the downfall of his studio, Boss Key Productions.
In an interview with Kotaku, Bleszinski cites his own "personal ego and alcohol issues" as key reasons the studio failed to produce a successful game. He spoke out after suffering a seizure earlier this year.
Boss Key launched the multiplayer shooter LawBreakers in 2017, which struggled to find a player base and was shut down in 2018.
