Clive Barker 'Proud as F**k' of Hellraiser: Revival, Calls It a Wake-Up Call

Horror legend Clive Barker is singing the praises of the upcoming game Hellraiser: Revival. In an interview with Dread Central, reported by PC Gamer, Barker said he is "proud as f**k at the end result" and "genuinely astonished" by the final product.

Barker admitted he initially feared the project would be heavily censored, but was impressed by how far developer Saber Interactive was able to push the horror. He worked closely with the studio to shape the game's world and story.

The author described the game as a direct follow-up to the first two Hellraiser films, setting aside the later sequels. He criticized some past films, reportedly made just to hold onto rights, as having diminishing budgets.

Barker told the outlet the collaboration has inspired him to explore more Hellraiser stories, including in comics and potentially future films. He also indicated he looks forward to working with Saber Interactive again on other projects.
