Con Air is finally getting a 4K Blu-ray steelbook release in 2026
Disney is putting Nicolas Cage's chaotic action classic 'Con Air' on a 4K Blu-ray for the first time, per MovieWeb. The new collector's edition is scheduled to land on November 10, 2026.
The release will come as a steelbook combo pack, holding both a 4K Ultra HD disc and a standard Blu-ray. The case artwork shows Cage in his famous white tank top in front of the flaming prison transport plane, with John Malkovich's villain Cyrus 'The Virus' Grissom featured on the back.
The upgrade includes a fresh 4K restoration with Dolby Vision and a Dolby Atmos audio track. It will also carry over some older supplemental material from past releases, like a making-of documentary and a look at the film's explosive Las Vegas finale.
This marks the first time the 1997 film, which starred Cage as a parolee caught in a plane hijack, will be available in the premium physical format from Disney.
