Control Resonant physical disc delayed to October 15
Remedy Entertainment's Control Resonant has gone gold, but physical edition fans will have to wait. GameSpot and Push Square report the digital version is still slated for a September 24 release. However, the PS5 disc version has been pushed back to October 15.
This creates a three-week gap between the digital and physical launches. Remedy announced the delay on social media, stating it needs "more time to deliver the physical version to you."
The developer did not provide a specific reason for the holdup. The news follows Remedy's previous release of Alan Wake 2, which also launched digitally first before receiving a physical edition much later.
According to Push Square, the announcement comes amid ongoing industry debates over physical media, especially following Sony's plans to phase out PlayStation disc production starting in 2028.
