Control Resonant Sells 1 Million Copies, Is Remedy's Fastest-Selling Game

Remedy Entertainment's latest game has hit a major milestone. Control Resonant has sold one million copies in just three weeks, according to reports from IGN and PC Gamer.
This makes it the studio's fastest-selling game ever, outstripping the previous record held by Alan Wake 2. That title took two months to reach the same sales figure, per IGN.
Remedy's communications director Thomas Puha called it a "strong start," and the studio celebrated the news publicly with a thank-you message to fans.
The achievement comes despite a reported piracy problem at the game's digital-only launch in late September. Physical editions have now been released. Push Square notes the game launched into a particularly busy release schedule.
New CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon, appointed to steer the studio toward profitability, praised the launch. He called Control Resonant "unmistakably Remedy" and noted it was bringing new players into the franchise.
The studio will provide a more detailed financial picture during its Q3 business review on November 3rd.
