Costa Rica Celebrates Its First Oscar-Nominated Below-the-Line Talent

Costa Rica has finally landed its first-ever Oscar nomination for a below-the-line film professional, per Variety. The honor goes to sound and music editor Felipe Pacheco, recognized for his work on Ryan Coogler's award-winning film 'Sinners'.

Pacheco, who is based in Los Angeles, studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music before making the move. His nomination marks a significant milestone for the country's film industry.
