Crimson Desert's First DLC Pushed Back Two Weeks for Polish

Fans will have to wait a little longer to set sail in Crimson Desert's first major add-on. IGN reports that the 'Charting the Unknown' expansion has been delayed by two weeks, shifting its launch from October 15 to October 29.
The developer, Pearl Abyss, stated the extra time is needed to ensure a more stable and polished experience for players, according to a social media post covered by Eurogamer. The expansion was first revealed during a Sony State of Play event just last month.
As detailed by the outlets, the DLC introduces sea exploration, allowing players to sail to new islands. It also adds deeper base-building mechanics, new story content featuring characters like Kliff, and systems for managing properties and building relationships with NPCs.
Rock Paper Shotgun notes the expansion's Steam page mentions investigating ancient secrets beneath the waves. The DLC will be priced at $24.99 and is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
