Crusader Kings 3 expansion Silk and Silver launches November 17, 2026

Crusader Kings 3 players can mark their calendars. The game's upcoming expansion, Silk and Silver, will officially launch on November 17, 2026, according to a report from Rock Paper Shotgun. This is the second major DLC for the game this year, following the earlier church-focused expansion, By God Alone.
The new content is focused on merchant republics, like Venice. Players will be able to build a powerful trading company and work towards ruling as a Doge, a report from the outlet details. The expansion allows players to specialize their republic in areas like naval trade or populist politics, and shape a constitution to serve their own goals.
On the diplomatic front, players can pursue control of specific trade routes and decide whether to monopolize them or cooperate with other republics in trade leagues. However, the outlet notes that the expansion will not introduce naval warfare to the game, despite the maritime theme. Paradox reportedly told players earlier this year that the feature was excluded to properly focus on other new systems.
The release date puts the expansion in a typically quiet part of mid-November, a period many other game studios are said to be avoiding.
