Curry Barker's Ghosthunter Horror Comedy Anything But Ghosts Dated for 2027

The next film from Obsession director Curry Barker now has a spot on the calendar. Per Variety, his horror-comedy Anything But Ghosts is slated to hit theaters on May 7, 2027.

Focus Features and Blumhouse-Atomic Monster are behind the project, with Focus holding worldwide rights. Universal Pictures International will manage distribution outside North America.

Barker co-wrote the script with his frequent partner Cooper Tomlinson, and both will star in the movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, they play a pair of amateur ghosthunters whose investigation spirals terrifyingly out of control.

The cast also includes actors from Breaking Bad and Jurassic World, alongside Violet McGraw and Chris Reinacher. The Hollywood Reporter notes the film was produced for roughly $5 million.

Jason Blum produces, with Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath also serving as producers. Barker and Tomlinson are executive producers.

In a past interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Barker emphasized the new film would be distinct from his prior hit, saying, "Nobody wants the same movie twice."
