Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 Gets October Release Date and New Trailer
The second season of Netflix's hit anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners will premiere on October 20, according to a new announcement reported by Eurogamer and Kotaku. A fresh trailer has also been released.
Per Kotaku, the new season will follow a fresh cast led by a protagonist named Roman, a young boy who captures Night City's horrors on camera. The season's 10-episode story begins when Roman records something he shouldn't have seen.
A first look at the premiere episode was shown at Anime Expo in July, as noted by Kotaku. CD Projekt reportedly described the new season's tone as aiming for a 'down-to-earth' and gritty feel compared to the first season's more romanticized action.
Eurogamer reports that the new trailer features the full voice cast for the first time, including Valeria Rodriguez, Kimoy Lee, Nazeeh Tarsha, and Clancy Brown.
Studio Trigger is once again handling the animation. The series arrives as fans await news on the next Cyberpunk video game, which remains years away.
