Danny Ramirez Joins Cast of Austin Butler, Michael B. Jordan Miami Vice Reboot
The reboot of Miami Vice is adding more star power. According to a report from Deadline, Danny Ramirez has joined the cast of the upcoming film, Miami Vice '85.
Per JoBlo, Ramirez will appear alongside stars Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan, who are set to play detectives Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, respectively. The role Ramirez will play has not been announced.
The film, which will be a period piece set in the 1980s, has also added actors Alden Ehrenreich and Whitney Peak to its roster. Peak is reportedly set to play Tubbs' love interest.
Camila Morrone has also been announced for a role, having previously had chemistry tests with Austin Butler. The film is being directed by Joseph Kosinski and scripted by Dan Gilroy.
Plot details remain under wraps, but the film is said to explore the glamour and corruption of mid-80s Miami, inspired by the original TV series' first season. Production is scheduled to begin later this year, with a planned release date of May 19, 2028.
