Darkest Dungeon 1 is getting surprise DLC after six years
The original 'Darkest Dungeon' is crawling back from the dead with a new expansion. 'The Fire's Edge' will be the game's first major DLC release since 2020, according to reports from PC Gamer and Polygon.
Per Kotaku, the surprise update will feature two new characters and borrow content from the sequel, 'Darkest Dungeon 2'. Developer Red Hook Studios announced the DLC to commemorate the first game's 10th anniversary, reports Rock Paper Shotgun.
It's a move that follows the playbook of games like 'The Witcher 3,' which got new content years after launch. The DLC is expected to arrive in August.
