Dave Bautista Reveals Kratos Training Progress Ahead of God of War Series
Dave Bautista is hitting the gym hard for his role as Kratos in Prime Video's upcoming God of War TV series, per JoBlo.
The actor shared an update on Instagram, writing that he's three weeks into his weight training regimen. He added he has "two more months to get to where I need to be." The post shows the actor already looking muscular.
The comment about his timeline suggests filming might not resume until November. Bautista stepped into the role after the original actor cast as Kratos, Ryan Hurst, had to depart.
According to the outlet, Hurst suffered a torn bicep during a stunt, requiring surgery and a long recovery. The production schedule could not accommodate the delay, leading to the recast.
The series, showrun by Ronald D. Moore, will follow Kratos and his son Atreus on a quest following a family death.
