Dave Bautista Shows Off Kratos Transformation For Prime Video's God Of War
Dave Bautista is getting ripped for the gods. Per TVLine, the actor posted a video on Instagram showing off his physique as he trains for the role of Kratos in Prime Video's live-action "God of War" series.
In the clip, Bautista flexes and lets out a couple of roars worthy of the Ghost of Sparta. His caption stated, "3rd week into weight training again. 2 more months to get to where I need to be. Like ridin a bike! LFG!" The video used audio from "The Godfather III" featuring Al Pacino's line, "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."
TVLine's report suggests the series is set to restart production in November. This follows a complete overhaul after original star Ryan Hurst was injured during a stunt. His lengthy recovery timeline reportedly clashed with the production schedule, necessitating a recast.
Bautista's casting has been met with approval from fans and even Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos in the games. The series will adapt the story of the 2018 award-winning game, following Kratos and his son Atreus on a perilous journey.
