DC Studios Heads Detail Long-Term Plans to New Boss David Ellison

DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran recently detailed their long-term plans for the DC Universe to their new boss, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Per the outlet, the meeting occurred after David Ellison's Skydance completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. Ellison invited Gunn and Safran to stay on in their roles, and they reportedly "took him into the tent" to map out the franchise's future.

"We really took him into the tent and talked about where we see it going over the next number of years so he's got a really good sense of what we want to do," Safran told The Hollywood Reporter. Gunn added, "David knows everything. We told David long ago, and went through what the basic plan was."

Their reported upcoming slate includes several projects. According to Safran, 'Man of Tomorrow' is in post-production, 'Batman Part II' and 'The People v. Gorilla Grodd' are in production, and more are yet to be announced.

Safran also highlighted the just-released 'Clayface', which he described as a "pure body horror movie" that fits their goal of a DC slate with a wide range of tones. The film, starring Tom Rhys Harries, hits theaters on October 23.
